Veteran Fence Company is owned and operated by Steven & Jessica Yones, a husband-and-wife team rooted in a fencing tradition that stretches back to 1967 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
Meet the Owners
Steven & Jessica Yones
Steven served in the United States Air Force from 2006 to 2012. After his service, he came home to central Oklahoma and found his way into the fencing trade, working alongside Jessica's family, who had been building fences in this region for decades.
In 2024, Steven and Jessica launched Veteran Fence Company, their own business, carrying forward the same values that have defined this family's work for nearly 60 years. Steven builds the fences. Jessica runs the office.

Timeline
Veteran Fence Company is new, but the story behind it has a rooted history. Jessica's family has been building fences in Tecumseh and across central Oklahoma since 1967, and that legacy is woven into everything we do today.
1967
Clay's Fence Company Founded
Clay & Marjorie Stafford started it all in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Clay built the fences. Marjorie ran the office. A husband-and-wife team from the very beginning much like it is ran today.
1993
A-1 Fence Company
Jessica's parents, Jody & Rhonda Stafford, carried the tradition forward with A-1 Fence Company. Same formula, Jody in the field, Rhonda in the office, serving central Oklahoma for the next three decades.
2006-2012
Steven Serves in the U.S. Air Force
Before fences, there was service. Steven Yones spent six years in the United States Air Force, developing the work ethic and attention to detail that defines every job Veteran Fence takes on today.
2013
Steven Joins the Family Trade
After his Air Force service, Steven began working with A-1 Fence Company alongside Jody Stafford, learning the craft from the ground up.

Steven and Jessica Yones launched Veteran Fence Company with their name, their business, but holding on to the same famly values. Steven builds the fences. Jessica manages the office. Just like it has always been done.
